What can I do to help my Immune System?

It is critical to keep your body healthy! In addition to Health Canada Recommendations, here is what Natural Health care provider's recommend below.

  • Vitamin B Complex

  • Vitamin C 1000 to 3500mg/day spread out not all at once.

  • Vitamin E

  • PPQ  protects cells in the body from oxidative damage and supports the metabolism of energy and healthy aging. It is also considered a novel cofactor with antioxidant and B vitamin-like activity. It promotes cognitive health and memory by combating mitochondrial dysfunction and protecting neurons from oxidative damage.

  • Vitamin D3 5,000 to 10,000 IU /day

  • Vitamin K use as recommended

  • Zinc 30 to 40mg /day. Find with copper added.

  • Black elderberry (Sambucus nigra)

  6. Pelargonium sidoides. Some human research supports the use of this plant’s extract for alleviating symptoms of acute viral respiratory infections, including the common cold and bronchitis. Still, results are mixed and more research is needed (51Trusted Source).

  8. Curcumin. Curcumin is the main active compound in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory properties, and animal studies indicate that it may help improve immune function (54Trusted Source).
  9. Echinacea. Echinacea is a genus of plants in the daisy family. Certain species have been shown to improve immune health and may have antiviral effects against several respiratory viruses, including respiratory syncytial virus and rhinoviruses (55Trusted Source).
  10. Propolis. Propolis is a resin-like material produced by honeybees for use as a sealant in hives. Though it has impressive immune-enhancing effects and may have antiviral properties as well, more human research is needed (56Trusted Source).
